The food sector in the State of Kuwait represents a large part of the private sector. The sector consists of entrepreneurs from several fields that have excelled with their creativity and determination in managing their businesses which has made Kuwait an important food region which has enabled businesses to be started locally.

The Kuwait Union of Restaurants, Cafes, and Catering was declared in the year 2014 to serve business owners in this sector and engage in evolving the food, cafes, and catering sectors to match his Highnesses’ Kuwait’s 2035 vision.
